Day 2 “On The Road” finds me having a relaxing morning at Jozart Studios in California, PA. ilyAIMY played the open mic here last night and, as usual, crashed here after the show. We got a really good responce as there are still a quite a few people who haven’t seen the us in more than the duo configuration.
It will no doubt sound like BS to some of my friends, but I’m actually a little shy in new environments. And though I’ve been up here a few times, I still don’t know a lot of people. So there were a few momements last night where I felt kind of awkward. Both rob and Heather seem, to me, to be much more naturally outgoing and comfortable amongst strangers. I’ll have to find a way to make myself comfortable, ’cause rob and Heather will be the only people I know once we leave Pennsylvania.
Still I’m looking forward to this all. I had a great time last night; I feel like we really rocked. Comparatively, it was stripped down sort of set, not sedate, but not completely bombastic either. But we had everyones attention and they were really digging it.
Tonight, its another open mic in Columbus, OH, then a show in the same venue on Friday night.
